Yeah, in 2017 (I’ll leave a link in the comments if you want to read more on that). This reminded me of a video that was posted on YouTube in 2007 and was one of the most viral Indian videos of its time. It’s a Telugu condom ad. It was hilarious and we all laughed at this condom Teletubbies situation, but looking back, I can’t help but have a bunch of respect and appreciation for it. IT’S FUCKIN’ GREAT. The video is so refreshingly open-minded compared to today, especially considering it’s over a decade old, and I’ll tell you why: - It normalises education about contraception and sex in a super detailed way. - This was OVER 10 YEARS AGO and it even talks about gay people needing condoms to protect themselves, while most contraception ads tend to be nauseatingly heteronormative. - It primarily focuses on STD prevention, instead of just the prevention of pregnancy, w..
